New Dads
The prospect of new dads being responsible that all needs for their first baby can be quite daunting. All the classes and research can scarcely prepare first time dads for the awe of holding their first baby.
Then there is this dilemma of trying to convey this new feeling to workmates whose sole concern is the footy tips or the weekend party. First time dads or older dads even, may be battling sleep deprivation and nursery concerns. The key is to relax and enjoy the journey as well as the event of first baby.
Enjoy Your Baby!
Be not afraid to be involved with the daily chores helping out mother and baby. It is also important for dads to bond with their infant, be involved throughout their childhood and beyond. It does pay off handsomely one day. Believe me, they do grow up ever so quickly. One minute you may find yourself feeding her mashy food and the next instant you may find yourself walking down the isle to give her away at her wedding. Enjoying every phase of your child's life is important as all too soon, they are not little anymore.
Shopping
It is wise to plan early and carefully with the wife or partner. New dads can have their credit cards straining under pressure to purchase a roomful of baby stuff and some may never get used. If financially challenged and stretched, it may be wise to look at pre-loved items such as cribs and prams without compromising on quality. There are good products available that are still good at a much cheaper rate. It is alright to purchase pre-loved products as the most important thing is quality time and love for the new baby.
Suggested Lists: cribs, cots, bassinettes, prams, baby bathtub, baby clothings, washers, wipes, sheets, slings, toiletries and formula if needed.
